The furnaces are used for galvanizing lines (CGLs) and continuous annealing lines (CALs) and can be radiant tube heated or gas-fired with a muffle. Established technologies have been refined by EBNER for both the annealing furnace and the cooler, e.g. the patented HICON jet cooler. All furnace types feature components manufactured or approved by EBNER. These components include burners, radiant tubes, control valves for the combustion system, heat-resistant material for muffles, hot bridles, insulating materials etc.
One annealing line – three technologies
Thanks to hydrogen cooling technology, cooling gradients of 100 to 150 K/s are achieved while heat treating poly-phase steels and IF grades.
Strip with a max. width of up to 800 mm for a variety of applications in the white goods, electrical and automotive industries can be annealed in the horizontal facilities at throughputs up to 1.3 t/h.
