Muhammad Hassan has joined Begner as Technical Specialist. He brings experience from both the steel industry and research within predictive maintenance and process improvement.
We asked Muhammad a few questions about his background and his first weeks at Begner.
Hi Muhammad, how has your first time at Begner been so far?
So far, it has been really good. There is a lot to learn, but I am enjoying it and the team has been very supportive.
Could you briefly tell us about your background and what you have worked with previously?
I have experience from both industry and research. I previously worked as a Process Engineer in the steel industry and later started a PhD in Electrical Engineering, focusing on reliable predictive maintenance for real-time decision support.
I have been involved in several research and development projects related to process improvement and predictive maintenance using digital twin and machine learning techniques.
What interested you in joining Begner?
I got inspired by the digital factory concept at Begner. I see it as a valuable opportunity to develop my career through real practical cases, where I can implement theory in practice.
I also became familiar with Begner in 2023 when I had the opportunity to present my research at ibaDay events in both Sweden and Finland. The Begner team was very open-minded and welcoming.
What do you find most enjoyable and motivating in your work?
What I enjoy most is learning new things and working with a great team. I am motivated by challenges, continuous improvement, and seeing the results of my work.
What do you like to do in your spare time when you're not working?
In my spare time, I enjoy activities that help me relax and recharge, such as playing sports, going for walks, and spending time with family.
